Turns out Nevada has its own rules about who can legally marry you — and Jono didn't qualify. So three days before the real thing, we quietly snuck off to the Little White Chapel and made it official. No one knew. It wasn't the plan. It was better.

Three days later, surrounded by everyone who loves us, we did it again — the right way. Every word was meant. Every moment felt earned. You already knew what you were getting into, and you showed up anyway. That's the part I'll never get over.

And then we took the dogs and went climbing. Desert and red rocks and the two of us figuring it out the way we always do — no plan, just forward. Which is honestly the most us thing we could have done to celebrate.
A note, three years in —

Three years ago, we found out that Jono couldn't legally marry us in Nevada. In the middle of the night, in the middle of the desert, on our way to Las Vegas.
So three days before the real thing, we snuck off to the Little White Chapel and made it official, just the two of us. Nobody knew it wasn't the plan. It was better than the plan.
Then on April 8th, surrounded by everyone we love, we did it again — and meant every word of it. And then we took the dogs to Red Rocks and and enjoyed some time in the sun with our little desert monkeys.
Three years. Every single day I'm glad this is our story.
